Modern-day polymer-framed firearms are the most popular guns on the market. Most of the major brands carry a modern striker-fired polymer-framed option. Some of these modern options have some incredible features, such as this Sig P320 XTen. Unfortunately, often times the grip modules or frames leave a lot to be desired which forces people down the “upgradification” path… Yeah I made that word up.
This frame upgrade path typically includes custom stippling, contouring, or full-on frame swaps.
In this video, we are testing the Icarus Precision P320 X-Ten 10MM All aluminum grip module.

Now... to the written review!
Now the 10MM is a SPICY round. The favorite and caliber of choice amongst most outdoor enthusiasts, the 10MM packs a heavy punch, typically has great capacity, and is basically a .40S&W Long Cartridge.
Sig jumped into the 10MM striker-fired polymer race with its P320 XTen which so far has been a pretty awesome gun… But then Icarus Precision dropped the mic and made it even better.
Icarus Precision asked me to do some testing on this grip module and try to rack up a decent round count behind it. It isn’t currently available to the public, but with some testing hopefully that will change soon.

Testing

There are two BIG questions I imagine you all are asking…. How much does this cost? Does it do anything to the performance, or is it just looks?
The answer to number 1 is… I don’t know. It hasn’t been released to the public yet, it also is in the design and development phase. If I had to take a guess and a total shot in the dark, I would guess somewhere in the $400 range. Though that number does seem expensive, it is pretty much the same cost as any premium custom slide.
The answer to number 2 is… Heck yeah it helps with performance. The 10MM is a stout round period. I consider the 10mm a very manageable round itself, but it does have a significantly larger muzzle flip when firing. The grippy contouring, the increased weight, and the advanced undercuts and beavertail really help you choke up on that grip for control and stability. Yes… it also looks amazing.
